Starship Troopers, Robert A. Heinlein, (Ace 1987, original published in serial form in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, 1959 {Blackstone Audio, 2006, Narrator: Lloyd James)

Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein is the classic of the Military Science Fiction genre. Great descriptions of technology and action filled combat dominate the book, though this is admittedly slowed down by a series of political thought experiment info-dumps.
