Flag in Exile, David Weber (Baen Books, 1995 {Brilliance Audio, Narrator: Allysson Johnson)

Flag in Exile is David Weber’s fifth book in the Honor Harrington series and focuses on the ramifications of her actions at the end of the last book, while simultaneously building more into the political and social background of the ‘Honorverse.’ It is an enjoyable read to anyone who likes the Honor Harrington series, but would likely prove unsatisfying to anyone who was not already a fan. Shadow of the Giant, Orson Scott Card (TOR, 2006 {MacMillan Audio, Narrator: Scott Brick, David Birney, Cast})

Shadow of the Giant is the fourth book in Orson Scott Card‘s ‘Shadow’ series, thus part of the Ender’s Game world. Here at last we see the story line moving beyond Bean’s childhood issues to follow on with the ramifications of the end of the Bugger war (giggle) and the return to Earth of a school filled with supergenius’ trained to lead armies.
