Ender’s Shadow, Orson Scott Card (TOR, 2005)
Ender’s Shadow by Orson Scott Card, is a companion/parallel tale to his brilliant novel Ender’s Game. It effectively tells the same story as Card’s award winning YA novel, but does so from a different Point of View (POV) focusing on different elements. While this sounds like a set up for a miserable book, it actually works quite well and is well worth reading. Continue reading →

Ender’s Game, Orson Scott Card (Tor, 1994)
Ender’s Game is probably the best YA book I’ve ever read. It creates the bar by which all other YA books should be measured. It never condescends to its readers and never belittles the main character as being just a kid.
