Germline is the lackluster, near future Military Science Fiction novel by T.C. McCarthy that serves as the first in the Subterrene War series. Written from the POV of a war correspondent, it has an interesting premise, but sparse descriptions and an unsympathetic narrator failed to really pull me in.
